Here goes my first blog post…
I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a long time, but never fully taken the leap.
A few years ago I purchased a domain name with a plan to start. I got all excited. But soon I was bogged down in the marketing tactics of managing a blog without ever actually posting anything. I got overwhelmed. Then fear set in and I backed away.
This time it will be different. I will keep things simple. No pressure.
My goal is to learn and notice more. At the same time I want to clarify my thinking and get better at writing.
I know I could do this privately, but I figured public accountability and feedback is the ultimate test.
It’s time to stop hiding. Time to start creating and shipping my work.
Who knows where this will lead, but I am inspired to start. Although it feels like I am 5 years too late, it’s better late than never!
I have taken inspiration from Seth Godin to finally take the leap:
“I strongly urge people to have a blog, a daily blog. You don’t even have to put your name on it. If every single day, you blog a point of view, something you see, an assertion, your brain will act differently within two weeks. Because you’re gonna be thinking about what you wanna say tomorrow. And after you’ve done it for six weeks, you’re gonna look at what you said six weeks ago. This act of public journaling is risk free.”

Let’s see where this goes…
Learn, notice, reflect.
