It’s your turn

This post should speak for itself.

I’m returning to some motivation from Seth Godin about starting and building something (a daily blog in my case).

I hope it can inspire you to stand up, speak out, unleash your creativity, and connect with others:

“ YOUR TURN TO:

Ship.
Speak up.
Stand out.
Build a following.
Market a product.
Make a connection.
Solve an interesting problem.
Write, sing, invent, create, ask a question, launch a project, organise a protest, open the door for someone, question authority, make a short film, direct, produce, create, or adopt.
Learn a new skill.
Help someone who needs you.

Be missed if you’re gone.

YOUR TURN TO MAKE A RUCKUS.”

Seth Godin, What To Do When It’s Your Turn (and It’s Always Your Turn)

I love the line “be missed if you’re gone“.

To me that means you’re on the right track. As to be missed, it implies that you are creating, shipping and connecting. It means your “work” is appreciated by others. It means you are probably taking risks and dancing on the edge of your capability. You are silencing the voice of resistance and giving this “work” a red hot chance of success. You probably growing and feel more alive than ever.

What’s stopping you from taking your turn? Why not start something new today!

Remember, it might not work. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

Have some fun. Who knows where it may lead.

Even if it doesn’t lead anywhere grand, at least it instills a positive change in you.

In the case of a daily blog, the daily commitment of showing up and writing every day will change the way you look at the world. You will notice more things. You will listen more. You will reflect and think more deeply about what you hear and see. Over time you will become a new person.

You will never know if you don’t try.
