The cost of maintaining the status quo

Although I became good at my job in finance, I felt like I always had to work twice as hard as others to get there and sustain it. But it was draining me and didn’t feel natural. It was making me unhappy and burning me out.

Have you ever felt that struggle? Do you wonder about finding or creating a role aligned with your strengths?

Anyway, I reached a point where enough is enough. It was time for a change.

It took a lot of courage to overcome the self-doubt, and I wasted a lot of time along the way (a story for another time).

I am finally experimenting with a new path that I can get excited about. That’s what this ‘Learn. Notice. Reflect.’ blog is for. I always wanted to do a podcast about positive change, so I am making that happen too. And most of all, I loved helping others to see possibility, find purpose, and grow through coaching and mentoring. This type of work fills my cup. It energises me and sustains me. It doesn’t feel like “work”.
