Do you struggle to make things your own?

It’s easy just to repeat common wisdom and platitudes. But it is a challenge to pause, ponder, and then pick out what is true for you and put it into your own words.

By all means, if it helps, start with other people’s insights and questions to get going, but then make them your own. Challenge their view. Bring in your unique perspective.

Nobody wants to hear the same old rehashing, but your distinctive, irreplaceable voice – that’s priceless!

How can you ask more of “your own” questions?

Sometimes we ask what we think would be an intelligent question, what would be cool, or what others will like. But this can often come across as hollow and inauthentic. And we will start to lose interest ourselves as it is not intrinsically motivating.

A more powerful route is to really dig into what sparks your curiosity.

What burning questions do you have?

Start to explore those, share what you find, and your life will open up in unexpected ways.
