Safe or successful

“Do you want to be safe or successful?”

We all want to be safe. We would also like to be successful.

If we play it too safe, we may miss out on any meaningful success.

We say we want to do lots of things. For example, start a business, learn a new skill, make YouTube videos, run a marathon, travel to Machu Picchu.

But are we actually doing anything more than ‘saying’?

When we think about starting something, fear creeps in. What if I fail? What if I humiliate myself? What if people laugh at me?

We decide it’s much safer just to stay where things are comfortable. Why rock the boat?

So we settle for less than our potential. Unfulfilled dreams. Oh, what could have been a success…

How will that feel in five or ten years? Regret?

Reflection

  • Don’t make that mistake.
  • Take one action today.
