“What we do accumulates; the future is the result of what we do right now.”
Pema Chodron
Just like compound interest, what we do accumulates. This is a powerful force.
So, the question is, what are you accumulating?
Because that is where you are going. Is it purposeful aligned with your desired future self?
If we don’t think long term and strategically about this, we may unconsciously wander down an undesirable path of pettiness and mediocrity.
We often say we want to become something, but we rarely take the daily action to become that person.
- The future leader should be leading now.
- The person seeking vitality should be exercising.
- The wannabe writer should be writing every day.
- The mindful person should be meditating
- The musician should be playing music
- The adventurer should be seeking out new experiences.
- The family person should be spending quality time with family.
Don’t be the person who wakes up one day in the future and realises they never took the time to become the person they wanted to be. Make the hard choice.
