Don’t be so sloppy

Sometimes we get sloppy with our actions. For whatever reason, we don’t put in so much effort. We lose engagement, and quality drops. This downward spiral could be in our work, creative hobbies, fitness, or close relationships.

A sense of inauthenticity creeps in. Then suddenly, it strikes us how far we have drifted off the mark. We feel a wave of guilt over our perceived lack of standards, and we are not proud of compromising our values.

Sam Harris had some interesting insights which are applicable here… We could pick one of these actions where we have slipped off the path but approach it with a new mindset. Next time doing the task, do it as though someone you deeply respect is watching you. Do it as though it will stand the test of time. 

This mindset shift leads to a totally different outcome.
