You’re siting at your desk but nothing is coming out. You’re tired, lethargic and unproductive. Things aren’t working.

You feel guilty and lazy. The self talk is getting worse.

HOLD UP.

It’s ok.

Maybe it’s time to listen to your body.

TAKE A BREAK.

Do something else, anything… Go for a walk. Make a cup of tea. Meditate. Call a friend. Read a book.

Break the pattern. Do something different that rejuvenates you.

You might find that by taking the break you paradoxically become more productive. The work becomes easier when you are refreshed and have clear mind.

Look after your health and wellbeing first. The work will always be there and there is always another day. We aren’t robots. Would you keep driving your car if it was running on empty? No, you would stop and refuel.

Accept that you have good days and bad days. Today may be a bad day and that’s ok. As tomorrow is a new day.

Action

Today you need to do something that fills your cup.

Only you know what that is.
